Guwahati, Assam: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday reviewed the progress of housing projects being developed for personnel of the Assam Police, reiterating the government’s commitment to providing improved residential facilities for the state’s law enforcement officials.
The update was shared by the Chief Minister through a post on X after his review of the ongoing works. Emphasising the dedication of Assam Police personnel, Sarma said they devote their lives to serving “Aai Asomi” and deserve the best possible living facilities in return for their service.
In his post, the Chief Minister stated, “Our Assam Police officials dedicate a lifetime to serve Aai Asomi and they deserve the best when it comes to facilities. We are building the best housing facilities for them so that we take care of their families while they are on the line of duty.”
The housing initiative is aimed at ensuring that police personnel have access to quality residential accommodation, enabling their families to live in a safe and comfortable environment while officers continue to perform their duties across the state. The Chief Minister also confirmed that he reviewed the progress of the projects during the day, indicating that the government is closely monitoring their development.
