Abhijeet Dipke Faces Backlash Over Controversial Remarks on PM Modi Amid Student Protest

New Delhi, June 26: A student-led protest that began over alleged examination irregularities and education-related demands has sparked fresh controversy after a viral video purportedly showed Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), making sarcastic remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public address.

In the viral video, Dipke is heard making satirical comments about the Prime Minister, including references to global affairs and the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The remarks have drawn criticism from several quarters, with opponents alleging that they were disrespectful to the Prime Minister and promoted an anti-government narrative. The video has since been widely shared across social media platforms.

The controversy comes at a time when the CJP has been leading protests demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities and paper leaks. While the movement was initially centred on student issues, the latest remarks have shifted public attention toward the political messaging surrounding the campaign. As of Friday, Abhijeet Dipke had not issued any public clarification regarding the viral video.
