Punjab Government to Organise ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ji Ke Naam’ Across All 22 Cities

Amritsar, June 28: The Punjab Government has announced that the devotional programme “Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ji Ke Naam” will be organised across all 22 cities of the state following the overwhelming response to the events held in Jalandhar and Amritsar. The announcement was made during a grand bhajan evening in Amritsar attended by thousands of devotees.

Speaking at the event, Arvind Kejriwal said the state government has decided to expand the devotional programme across Punjab, describing it as an initiative to promote faith, spirituality and social harmony. He noted that the programme began in Jalandhar and will now reach every district of the state.

Bhagwant Singh Mann joined the event and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to preserving Punjab’s religious and cultural heritage. The devotional evening featured renowned singer Hansraj Raghuwanshi, whose bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva drew a large gathering of devotees.

During the programme, Kejriwal also announced a series of religious and cultural initiatives, including the construction of a grand temple dedicated to Mata Sita, Luv and Kush in Amritsar, expansion of the Mukh Mantri Teerath Yatra Yojna, and the staging of the spiritual play “Hamare Ram” across Punjab from August 1.

The Punjab Government said the statewide devotional events are intended to strengthen spiritual values while bringing communities together through music, prayer and cultural programmes.
