
Lucknow, June 23: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that a comprehensive investigation will be conducted into the recent fire tragedy in Lucknow, assuring that strict action will be taken against anyone found responsible for the incident.
Expressing grief over the incident, Singh described the tragedy as “sad, unfortunate and painful,” adding that words were insufficient to convey the magnitude of the loss and suffering caused by the fire. He noted that the administration and medical teams made every possible effort to provide assistance and treatment to those affected.
The Defence Minister said that Yogi Adityanath has personally taken cognisance of the matter and directed officials to get to the root cause of the incident. According to Singh, the Chief Minister has made it clear that the entire episode will be investigated thoroughly and transparently.
He further stated that the Uttar Pradesh government will not hesitate to fix responsibility wherever necessary. If any negligence or wrongdoing is established during the inquiry, appropriate action will be taken against those found guilty, he said.
The state government has assured the public that all aspects of the fire incident will be examined in detail to prevent similar tragedies in the future and to ensure accountability at every level.
