Lucknow/Ayodhya, June 17: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan, has said that anyone found guilty in the alleged Ram Temple donation irregularities case will face strict punishment. His remarks came amid an ongoing investigation into allegations of misuse or embezzlement of donations linked to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Speaking on the issue, Ravi Kishan asserted that the Uttar Pradesh government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is committed to ensuring a fair probe and that those responsible for any wrongdoing will not be spared. He also criticized opposition parties for commenting on the matter, stating that the investigation should be allowed to proceed without political interference.
The Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations related to the handling of donations made to the Ram Temple. The SIT has been tasked with examining the financial trail and determining whether any irregularities occurred in the collection or management of temple funds.
The probe has generated political debate in the state, with opposition leaders questioning the circumstances surrounding the case. Meanwhile, state authorities have maintained that the investigation is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of public donations associated with the temple.
Officials have stated that appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of the SIT, while the government has reiterated its commitment to a thorough and impartial investigation.
