The innovation challenge will be formally launched at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati, according to Assam Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, who shared details of the upcoming event on social media.

Those invited include Dr. Vanlalthlana of Mizoram, Shri Kishor Barman of Tripura, Shri Temjen Imna Along of Nagaland and Shri Pasang Dorjee Sona of Arunachal Pradesh.

The proposed challenge is aimed at bringing together the region’s young talent and encouraging participants to use creativity, technology and problem-solving skills to develop solutions related to public service delivery.

Pegu said the participation of young people from across the Northeast would help harness the region’s technological capabilities and creative potential. The initiative also seeks to encourage collaboration among young innovators from different northeastern states.

The September 25 launch will mark the beginning of the North East Seva First Innovation Challenge 2026. Further information regarding the challenge categories, registration process, eligibility criteria, competition stages and other participation details was not included in the minister’s announcement.
