Guwahati: The ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign in Guwahati was reviewed by senior officials of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), with emphasis on ensuring that scheduled cleanliness and civic activities are carried out effectively.
GMC Mayor Mrigen Sarania, Commissioner Chinmoy Prakash Phookan, ACS, State Mission Director of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) Sabyasachi Kashyap, ACS, and Additional Commissioner Pranab Dutta Goswami, ACS, took part in the review of activities being conducted under the campaign.
The meeting examined the progress of various initiatives undertaken as part of Swachhata Hi Seva and discussed the implementation of the campaign’s daily programmes.
Officials stressed the importance of maintaining consistency in the execution of scheduled activities so that the objectives of the cleanliness campaign can be achieved effectively.
The review also covered the implementation of different initiatives being undertaken under the Swachhata Hi Seva programme, which focuses on strengthening cleanliness efforts and encouraging public participation in civic activities.
The GMC’s review comes as cleanliness-related programmes continue across the city under the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign, with the civic body focusing on effective coordination and implementation of activities at the ground level.
