Guwahati, Assam: A team from the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) has recovered a stolen Honda Activa scooter and arrested a person allegedly involved in the theft, according to an update shared by Guwahati Police.
The recovery was carried out by a team from Fatasil Ambari Police Station, which traced the stolen two-wheeler to the Colony Bazaar area. The recovered vehicle, a Honda Activa bearing registration number AS01GA1529, was taken into police custody.
Police also arrested the accused, identified as Somen Roy Choudhury, a resident of Bhaskar Nagar, in connection with the case.
Guwahati Police said that legal action has been initiated against the accused following the recovery and arrest. Further proceedings will be carried out in accordance with the law.
The operation was conducted by the WGPD team under Fatasil Ambari Police Station as part of efforts to trace stolen vehicles and take action against those allegedly involved in such offences.
