Guwahati: Gauhati University has marked a proud achievement with two of its NSS volunteers, Ms Himakshi Chaudhary, representing KHS College, and Ms Arundhati Hazarika, receiving the State NSS Award for the 2024–25 session. The recognition highlights their sustained involvement in community-oriented activities, social service and initiatives aimed at contributing to society.
The university congratulated both awardees for their achievement and appreciated their dedication and valuable contributions through the National Service Scheme (NSS). Their recognition also reflects the role of student volunteers in taking up social responsibilities beyond academic pursuits and participating in activities that benefit communities.
The achievement was welcomed by senior officials and representatives of the university. Vice Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta and Registrar Prof. Utpal Sarma extended their congratulations and best wishes to the two awardees.
