33 Assam Youths Leave Dhemaji for Hospitality Training in Gujarat

Dhemaji: A new opportunity is opening up for 33 youths from Assam as they begin the next phase of their hospitality careers with on-the-job training in Gujarat.

The youths, who have received hospitality-sector training from the Patkai Institute of Skill Development in Gogamukh, left Dhemaji on Wednesday night for Avadh Utopia in Vapi, Gujarat, where they will undergo practical workplace training.

Assam Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, who shared the development through his official social media account, extended his best wishes to the trainees as they embarked on the journey. He expressed hope that the training would provide them with valuable practical exposure and help them build successful careers in the hospitality industry.

The move marks an important transition for the trainees from classroom-based skill development to hands-on professional experience. On-the-job training is expected to give the participants an opportunity to understand workplace operations, develop industry-specific skills and gain practical experience in a hospitality environment.

Avadh Utopia Vapi is a hospitality and lifestyle property located in the Vapi area of Gujarat. The property operates in the hospitality sector and provides accommodation, food and beverage and other lifestyle-related services.

The initiative also highlights the growing importance of connecting skill training with actual workplace exposure, particularly for young people seeking employment opportunities beyond their home state.

For the 33 trainees from Dhemaji, the Gujarat placement represents more than a training programme. It offers an opportunity to gain firsthand industry experience, strengthen their professional skills and prepare themselves for long-term careers in the hospitality sector.

Dr. Pegu’s message came as the trainees began their journey, wishing them success as they take this next step towards professional growth.
