Jalukie, Nagaland: Assam Rifles organised a medical outreach camp at Veterinary Colony in Jalukie, Peren district, Nagaland, extending free healthcare services and awareness on hygiene and preventive health to members of the local community.
According to an official post by Assam Rifles, the medical camp was conducted on August 19, 2026, with a total of 72 people receiving healthcare support.
The beneficiaries included 32 men, 26 women and 14 children. Medical personnel conducted health check-ups, provided basic treatment and distributed medicines free of cost during the camp.
Besides medical assistance, the outreach programme focused on promoting hygiene and preventive healthcare practices among local residents. Participants were also provided guidance on maintaining better health and taking preventive measures against common illnesses.
The initiative formed part of Assam Rifles’ continued community outreach efforts in Nagaland. Such programmes are aimed at improving access to essential healthcare services while strengthening engagement with communities in remote and rural areas.
Assam Rifles said the medical outreach also contributed to building goodwill and strengthening civil-military relations, reflecting its people-centric approach and commitment towards community welfare and public health support in the region.
