Addressing party leaders and legislators during the NDA meeting, Nadda stated that leaders of alliance partners, including the AGP and Bodoland People’s Front, unanimously supported Himanta Biswa Sarma’s name for the top post.
“Leaders of all NDA allies have unanimously declared Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma as their leader,” Nadda announced amid loud applause from party members and supporters.
In the presence of senior party leaders, Nadda formally declared Himanta Biswa Sarma as the leader of the BJP legislative party and congratulated him on the occasion.
Soon after the announcement, the meeting venue echoed with slogans praising Himanta Biswa Sarma, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” as party workers celebrated the decision enthusiastically.
The announcement marks another major political milestone for Himanta Biswa Sarma, who has played a key role in strengthening the BJP’s presence in Assam and the Northeast region over the past several years.
