Guwahati: The Samagra Shiksha Axom has invited government and private book publishers, authorised distributors and retailers to register and submit their book lists for the procurement of library books for the 2026–27 financial year.
The announcement was shared by Assam minister Ranoj Pegu through his official X account, directing interested parties to the Samagra Shiksha Assam website to complete the registration and submission process.
The procurement initiative covers library books for students from Class I to Class XII in schools covered under Samagra Shiksha and the PM SHRI scheme. The submissions will be examined by the State Level Library Books Selection Committee for verification and selection.
October 24 Is the Last Date for Submission
Interested publishers, authorised distributors and retailers have been asked to register and upload their publication lists along with all the required details through the prescribed link available on the official website of Samagra Shiksha Assam.
The deadline for completing the process is October 24, 2026. Applicants are advised to ensure that their publication details and other required information are submitted within the stipulated period.
The notice and the subsequent corrigendum provide the basis for the application process, with the corrigendum specifically including authorised distributors and retailers among those eligible to submit their book lists.
Submission Does Not Guarantee a Supply Order
The education department has clarified that registration and submission of book lists do not automatically entitle applicants to receive a supply order.
All submitted publications will be subject to verification and selection by the State Level Library Books Selection Committee. The authority has also reserved the right to reject or cancel any submitted list without assigning a reason.
Consequently, interested applicants should carefully follow the prescribed procedure and ensure that all relevant details are provided before the deadline.
