Pensioners Urged to Submit Jeevan Pramaan by November 30 to Avoid Pension Disruption

New Delhi, November 7: With the annual Life Certificate submission period underway, government pensioners have been advised to complete their Jeevan Pramaan verification by November 30, 2026, to avoid interruptions in their monthly pension payments.

The annual verification process is essential for confirming pensioners’ eligibility to continue receiving benefits. Under the standard Central Government pension schedule, individuals aged 80 years and above have been permitted to submit their certificates since October 1, while the submission window for younger pensioners opened on November 1.

To simplify the procedure, the government has introduced digital facilities that allow pensioners to generate their Life Certificates without visiting banks or pension offices. Aadhaar-based face authentication through the Jeevan Pramaan application enables eligible pensioners to complete the process using compatible smartphones.

Pensioners can also submit their certificates through designated bank branches, Common Service Centres (CSCs) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) doorstep facilities. Under a special arrangement with EPFO, eligible Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) pensioners can access free doorstep Digital Life Certificate services.

However, EPFO pensioners follow a different submission schedule. They can generate their Digital Life Certificates at any time during the year, with each certificate remaining valid for one year from its submission date.

For pensioners covered by the November deadline, failure to submit the certificate may lead to the suspension of pension payments from December. Payments can resume after successful verification, with pending amounts generally released as arrears in the next pension cycle.

Authorities have encouraged pensioners to complete the verification process early to avoid last-minute difficulties and ensure the timely receipt of their pension benefits.
