GUWAHATI: From reporting neighbourhood problems to requesting street cleaning, residents of Guwahati can use the Swachhata App to access sanitation services and communicate civic concerns to the municipal authorities.
The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has urged citizens to download the application and participate in its efforts to make the city cleaner and greener.
According to the information shared by GMC, the app allows users to request street-cleaning services, arrange doorstep collection of segregated household waste through authorised collectors and report civic issues. Residents can also track their submitted requests and check updates on the action taken.
The digital platform aims to simplify access to municipal sanitation services and make it easier for residents to bring local cleanliness-related problems to the attention of the authorities.
GMC has encouraged citizens to take advantage of these facilities and work collectively towards improving waste management and maintaining cleaner public spaces across Guwahati.
The awareness campaign is part of the broader push for improved urban cleanliness under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).
Residents can visit the official GMC website at www.gmc.assam.gov.in for further information.
