Concerns and criticism are growing among parents over the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) recent education policy changes, particularly regarding language subjects for Class 9 students.
Several parents have expressed their frustration on social media platforms and WhatsApp groups, alleging that students who had been studying foreign languages for the past three years are now being forced to switch to Hindi or Sanskrit due to sudden rule changes.
In one parents’ group from a school in Noida, a parent reportedly compared students to “experimental subjects,” questioning the frequent changes in the education system. Other parents also raised concerns over the lack of clear guidelines and preparation for schools to implement the new policy effectively.
Parents said reforms in education are important, but repeated changes without proper planning are creating confusion and mental stress for students. As of now, CBSE has not issued any detailed clarification regarding the controversy surrounding the language policy changes.
