ONGC Holds Medical Camp for Flood-Affected Residents in Sivasagar

Sivasagar: Medical assistance reached flood-hit communities in Sivasagar as ONGC Assam Asset organised a health camp at Panbecha Dhupaboria village to support residents affected by the recent floods.

The initiative provided free medical consultations and medicines to people from the affected area, many of whom have been dealing with health concerns following the flooding.

Specialist doctors associated with ONGC examined patients attending the camp, offered medical advice and prescribed medicines based on their health requirements.

Around 500 people from several flood-affected villages reportedly benefited from the medical services provided during the camp.

Focus on Post-Flood Health Concerns

Flooding can increase the risk of various health problems and infectious diseases, particularly when communities face prolonged exposure to contaminated water and disrupted sanitation facilities.

Keeping these concerns in mind, ONGC has been conducting medical camps in flood-affected areas as part of its relief and community support initiatives.

The Sivasagar camp was aimed at providing immediate access to healthcare for residents who may have faced difficulties in reaching regular medical facilities following the floods.

The initiative forms part of ONGC Assam Asset’s ongoing support measures for communities affected by the recent flood situation in the state.
