Guwahati: Bhupen Kumar Borah has reacted to the recent increase in petrol and diesel prices, stating that the rise will directly impact the daily lives of people across society.
Speaking to reporters, Borah said the fuel price hike is linked to international developments, particularly the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States. He noted that the war-like situation between the two countries is creating global economic effects, which are being felt across states and nations worldwide.
According to Borah, the impact of the international crisis is not limited to a single country, and the side effects are influencing fuel prices and economic conditions globally.
He also expressed hope that Narendra Modi would take necessary steps to bring stability to the economic environment. Borah said he believes the Prime Minister will make efforts to control the situation and restore economic balance amid rising fuel prices and inflationary pressure.
The remarks come amid growing public concern over repeated hikes in petrol and diesel prices in recent days, which have triggered political reactions from various leaders across the country.
