Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the viral online movement “Cockroach Janta Party” (CJP), has claimed that he fears arrest if he returns to India next month.
In a statement circulating widely on social media, Dipke alleged that Delhi Police could arrest him upon arrival in India and send him to Tihar Jail. However, no official confirmation regarding any case or arrest warrant against him has been issued by authorities so far.
Dipke, who is associated with the rapidly growing meme-driven political satire movement CJP, has gained major online attention for raising issues related to unemployment, governance, and frustrations among India’s youth.
According to media reports, Dipke studied journalism in Pune and later pursued public relations studies at Boston University in the United States. He was also reportedly associated with Aam Aadmi Party as a social media volunteer between 2020 and 2023.
The Cockroach Janta Party emerged recently as a satirical digital movement and quickly attracted millions of followers across social media platforms. The movement has sparked intense debate online, with supporters calling it a voice for unemployed youth while critics question its political intentions.
Dipke’s recent remarks about possible arrest have further intensified discussions surrounding political satire, digital activism, and freedom of expression in India.
