Guwahati: Students and other applicants seeking duplicate certificates or corrections to documents issued by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-I, will soon be able to apply through the Government of Assam’s Sewa Setu Portal.
According to an official notification, the new online application system will come into effect from September 1, 2026. The services being integrated with the Sewa Setu Portal include applications for obtaining duplicate documents and requests for corrections in documents issued by ASSEB, Division-I.
Applicants will be required to follow the procedures and guidelines prescribed on the portal while submitting their applications. Direct access links to these services will also be made available through the official ASSEB Division-I website, sebaonline.org.
The Board has also clarified that applicants who submitted requests on or before August 31, 2026, will not be affected by the new system. They will be able to track the status of their existing applications through a separate link to be provided on the official ASSEB Division-I website.
The move is expected to streamline the process for applicants seeking duplicate educational documents or corrections to previously issued records by bringing the services under the state government’s digital service platform.
