Assam BJP to Hold Month-Long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ From September 17

GUWAHATI: The Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing for a month-long public outreach campaign aimed at highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service. The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is scheduled to be conducted across the state from September 17 to October 17.

Preparations for the campaign gained momentum on Monday with a training programme organised at the BJP’s state headquarters in Guwahati. The session focused on planning and coordinating activities that will be undertaken during the month-long initiative.

Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia chaired the training programme, which was attended by BJP national organisational general secretary B. L. Santosh, Northeast co-coordinator Rajiv Babbar, Assam minister Dr Ranoj Pegu and state organisational general secretary Rabindra Raju.

State BJP general secretary Anup Barman conducted the programme, while several Assam government ministers, MLAs, party office-bearers and representatives from different districts took part in the session.

The campaign is part of a nationwide programme being organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service and political journey. In Assam, the BJP plans to take the initiative across different parts of the state during the month-long period.

The training session was intended to familiarise party functionaries with the campaign’s roadmap and ensure coordinated implementation of the programmes across Assam.
