
New Harangajao, Dima Hasao, Assam: Rail connectivity through the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section has been disrupted following the settlement of railway tracks near New Harangajao station, with the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) announcing cancellations and revised timings for several services.
The operational changes have been introduced as restoration work continues on Lines 1 and 2. Railway authorities are also maintaining additional safety measures while train movement continues through the alternative Line 3.
The Guwahati–Silchar Express (Train No. 15615), scheduled to operate on August 9, has been cancelled. Its return service, the Silchar–Guwahati Express (Train No. 15616), scheduled for August 10, has also been cancelled.
Several other trains will operate with revised departure timings.
The Narangi–Agartala Express (Train No. 15650) will now leave at 10:30 pm on August 9, while the Agartala–Narangi Express (Train No. 15649) has been rescheduled to depart at 11:30 pm.
The Guwahati–Sairang Express (Train No. 15609) will operate at 11:30 pm on August 9, while the Sairang–Guwahati Express (Train No. 15610) has been moved to 9:30 pm.
The Rangiya–Silchar Express (Train No. 15611) will depart at 11:30 pm on August 9. Its return service, Train No. 15612, the Silchar–Rangiya Express, has been rescheduled to 5:00 am on August 10.
The Agartala–Rani Kamalapati Special (Train No. 01666) will also run according to a revised schedule, with its departure fixed for 11:00 pm on August 9.
NFR said train operations through the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section are continuing via Line 3 under enhanced safety arrangements while restoration work remains underway on the affected tracks.
Passengers travelling through the section are advised to check the latest train schedules before travelling, as further operational changes may depend on the progress of the restoration work.
