Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district, where the district president of the Samajwadi Party (SP) Women’s Wing was allegedly assaulted inside her residence by a group of individuals.
According to reports, the incident took place at around 9:24 a.m. on May 28 at the victim’s home in Madhiya village of Chandauli district. The alleged attack was captured on CCTV cameras, and the footage has since drawn widespread attention in the area.
Sources claim that a group of people entered the residence and physically assaulted the SP leader. The attack reportedly lasted for several minutes, during which the victim was allegedly slapped, kicked, punched, and dragged.
The victim sustained serious injuries, including wounds to her head and eye, according to reports. Her sister and a neighbour, who reportedly attempted to intervene and stop the assault, were also injured during the incident.
Initial reports suggest that the dispute may be linked to a business disagreement, land-related issues, and financial transactions. Allegations have also surfaced that some of the accused are associated with a former SP block chief. However, these claims have not yet been independently verified by authorities.
Following the incident, tension spread across the locality, and demands for swift action against those involved have intensified.
Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway and stated that efforts are being made to identify and arrest the accused. Authorities are also examining the CCTV footage as part of the probe.
The incident has once again raised concerns over law and order as well as the increasing number of violent disputes linked to personal, political, and property-related conflicts in the region.
Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
